Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Yosemite Falls by Lu Qingyuan. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 13,458.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lu Qingyuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peacock and Azaleas, which sold at auction in December last year for HKD 226,800.00 (€ 27,178.69).
