Auction result well in line with expectations

In April 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work The Gold Angel From Inle Lake by Lu Ming-Te. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 8,565.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lu Ming-Te - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spring Celebration, which sold at auction in October 2010 for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 27,853.75).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im April 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Gold Angel From Inle Lake von Lu Ming-Te zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 8.565,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Lu Ming-Te mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spring Celebration beobachtet, die im Oktober 2010 für HKD 300.000,00 (€ 27.853,75) versteigert wurde.
