This artwork by Lu Ming-Te achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2012. In the 20th Century Chinese Art auction, the work Elephant From Inle Lake sold for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 20,705.46) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lu Ming-Te; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Spring Celebration sold at auction in October 2010 with the realized price of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 27,853.75).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Lu Ming-Te erzielte im April 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art wurde die Arbeit Elephant From Inle Lake für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 20.705,46) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lu Ming-Te; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Spring Celebration im Oktober 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 27.853,75).
