Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peach Blossoms and Birds by Lu Ji was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. It changed hands for a price of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 38,239.07) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 260,000.00 – 360,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lu Ji achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cranes On Pine in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 5,750,000.00 (€ 607,819.42).

Die Arbeit Peach Blossoms and Birds von Lu Ji wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 38.239,07) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 260.000,00 – 360.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lu Ji erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cranes On Pine im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.750.000,00 (€ 607.819,42).
