This artwork by Lu Ji achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2015. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Hawks in Snow sold for HKD 625,000.00 (€ 72,283.49) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lu Ji have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cranes On Pine in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 5,750,000.00 (€ 607,819.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lu Ji erzielte im Juni 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Hawks in Snow für HKD 625.000,00 (€ 72.283,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lu Ji auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cranes On Pine im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.750.000,00 (€ 607.819,42).
