Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Australian Untitled # 998 by Louise Hearman was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of AUD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for AUD 4,200.00 (€ 2,469.26). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louise Hearman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Untitled, which sold at auction in August 2007 for AUD 13,800.00 (€ 8,252.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Australian Untitled # 998 von Louise Hearman im August 2009 bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für AUD 4.200,00 (€ 2.469,26) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Louise Hearman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian Untitled beobachtet, die im August 2007 für AUD 13.800,00 (€ 8.252,08) versteigert wurde.
