Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Louise Dahl-Wolfe could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Legends, Landscapes, and Lovelies | Photographs auction, the work Diana Vreeland changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,592.49) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louise Dahl-Wolfe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude On Beach, California, 1948 in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,998.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louise Dahl-Wolfe konnte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Legends, Landscapes, and Lovelies | Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Diana Vreeland für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.592,49) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louise Dahl-Wolfe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nude On Beach, California, 1948 im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.998,79).
