Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2012 Christies in Paris held the auction Dessins Anciens et du XIXème Siècle, which included the work Sarah Bernhardt dans Hamlet by Louise Abbéma. The price achieved of EUR 875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louise Abbéma achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Renée Delmas de Pont-Jest in May last year with an auction result of USD 138,600.00 (€ 129,158.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2012 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Dessins Anciens et du XIXème Siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sarah Bernhardt dans Hamlet von Louise Abbéma zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 875,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louise Abbéma erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Renée Delmas de Pont-Jest im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.600,00 (€ 129.158,51).
