In January 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny, which included the work La Dame Avec Les Fleurs by Louise Abbéma. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,322.15) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louise Abbéma have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Renée Delmas de Pont-Jest in May last year with an auction result of USD 138,600.00 (€ 129,158.51).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Januar 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Dame Avec Les Fleurs von Louise Abbéma zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 15.322,15) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louise Abbéma auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of Renée Delmas de Pont-Jest im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.600,00 (€ 129.158,51).
