Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Summertime: elegant bathing by Louis Soonius was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2004. The price achieved of EUR 7,170.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Soonius - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures At The Beach Near Scheveningen, The Kurhaus In The Distance, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 27,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Summertime: elegant bathing von Louis Soonius wurde im Juni 2004 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 7.170,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Soonius mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figures At The Beach Near Scheveningen, The Kurhaus In The Distance beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 27.850,00 versteigert wurde.
