Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Boating in Giethoorn by Louis Soonius. The price achieved of EUR 6,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Soonius have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures At The Beach Near Scheveningen, The Kurhaus In The Distance in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 27,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2005 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boating in Giethoorn von Louis Soonius zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Soonius auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures At The Beach Near Scheveningen, The Kurhaus In The Distance im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.850,00.
