Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Girl on Balcony by Louis Ritman was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in March 2008. The price achieved of USD 27,400.00 (€ 17,336.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Ritman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Garden in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 542,500.00 (€ 403,255.78).
