Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Topographical Observations: Picture your world, which included the work An extensive view over the dunes, Scheveningen by Louis Meijer. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,250.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Meijer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fisherfolk near beached pinken at dusk in April 2001 with an auction result of NLG 176,250.00 (€ 80,895.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Topographical Observations: Picture your world durch, in der auch die Arbeit An extensive view over the dunes, Scheveningen von Louis Meijer zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.250,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Meijer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fisherfolk near beached pinken at dusk im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 176.250,00 (€ 80.895,45).
