Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Louis Kronberg could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work A pair of portraits of two women changed hands for USD 1,560.00 (€ 1,166.44) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,800.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Kronberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ballet in White in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,294.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis Kronberg konnte im März 2007 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit A pair of portraits of two women für USD 1.560,00 (€ 1.166,44) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.800,00 – 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Kronberg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ballet in White im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.294,37).
