Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Refreshment Area at The Great Exhibition of 1851 by Louis Haghe was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2009. It changed hands for a price of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,865.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Haghe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Interior Of St Peter'S, Rome, which sold at auction in December 2015 for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,461.60).

Die Arbeit The Refreshment Area at The Great Exhibition of 1851 von Louis Haghe kam im Februar 2009 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.865,35) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Haghe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Interior Of St Peter'S, Rome beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 25.461,60) versteigert wurde.
