Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Hall of Bassola, Ducal Palace, Venice by Louis Haghe was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours auction at Christies in London in September 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 717.00 (€ 1,044.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Haghe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior Of St Peter'S, Rome in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,461.60).

Die Arbeit The Hall of Bassola, Ducal Palace, Venice von Louis Haghe wurde im September 2004 in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 717,00 (€ 1.044,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Haghe erzielen.
