Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art, which included the work Paysage À L'Antique by Louis-François Cassas. It changed hands for a price of EUR 2,860.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-François Cassas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Archéologues examinant un bas-relief aux abords de la ville d'Athènes in March 2017 with an auction result of EUR 182,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2021 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paysage À L'Antique von Louis-François Cassas zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 2.860,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis-François Cassas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Archéologues examinant un bas-relief aux abords de la ville d'Athènes im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 182.500,00.
