Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Figures visiting the ruins of an imaginary antique building by Louis-François Cassas was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings including property from The Cornelia Bessie Estate auction at Christies in New York in January 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,391.02). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-François Cassas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Archéologues examinant un bas-relief aux abords de la ville d'Athènes in March 2017 with an auction result of EUR 182,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Figures visiting the ruins of an imaginary antique building von Louis-François Cassas wurde im Januar 2021 in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings including property from The Cornelia Bessie Estate bei Christies in New York versteigert.
