Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Cedar Forests, Lebanon by Louis-François Cassas was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 35,580.00 (€ 42,488.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis-François Cassas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Archéologues examinant un bas-relief aux abords de la ville d'Athènes in March 2017 with an auction result of EUR 182,500.00.

Die Arbeit The Cedar Forests, Lebanon von Louis-François Cassas kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 35.580,00 (€ 42.488,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden.
