Die Arbeit View of Constantinople von Louis-François Cassas kam im Januar 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 36.341,16) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis-François Cassas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Archéologues examinant un bas-relief aux abords de la ville d'Athènes im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 182.500,00.
