Estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2017 VAN HAM held the auction Alte Kunst, which included the work Flusslandschaft mit Reisenden by Louis Chalon. Here, the estimate of EUR 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 4,515.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Chalon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The dance of Salomé in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,711.09).
Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2017 führte VAN HAM die Auktion Alte Kunst durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flusslandschaft mit Reisenden von Louis Chalon zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der Schätzpreis von EUR 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 4.515,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Chalon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The dance of Salomé im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.711,09).
