Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2001 Christies in London held the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES, which included the work A Rhenish river landscape with peasants loading a barge by Louis Chalon. The price achieved of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,788.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Chalon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The dance of Salomé in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,711.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Rhenish river landscape with peasants loading a barge von Louis Chalon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.788,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Chalon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The dance of Salomé im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.711,09).
