Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Swiss River Landscape With Figures by Louis Buvelot was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in May 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 8,400.00 (€ 4,753.02) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Buvelot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Swiss Near Bacchusmarsh [Sic. Sunset On The Werribee|AID130772] in November 2007 with an auction result of AUD 86,400.00 (€ 52,047.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Swiss River Landscape With Figures von Louis Buvelot kam im Mai 2009 bei Sothebys in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 8.400,00 (€ 4.753,02) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Buvelot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Swiss Near Bacchusmarsh [Sic.
