It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,674.55) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Buvelot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Swiss Near Bacchusmarsh [Sic. Sunset On The Werribee|AID130772] in November 2007 with an auction result of AUD 86,400.00 (€ 52,047.06).
