Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work The Sunlit Mists of Early Morning, A Marshy Pasture by Louis Bosworth Hurt. The price achieved of GBP 11,475.00 (€ 13,368.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Bosworth Hurt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Loch Lubnaig And Ben Vane in August 2006 with an auction result of GBP 55,200.00 (€ 82,085.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Sunlit Mists of Early Morning, A Marshy Pasture von Louis Bosworth Hurt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.475,00 (€ 13.368,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Bosworth Hurt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Loch Lubnaig And Ben Vane im August 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.200,00 (€ 82.085,89).
