In October this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work At Strathyre, Perthshire: A Passing Shower by Louis Bosworth Hurt. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,792.00 (€ 2,057.71), 49% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Bosworth Hurt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Loch Lubnaig And Ben Vane in August 2006 with an auction result of GBP 55,200.00 (€ 82,085.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit At Strathyre, Perthshire: A Passing Shower von Louis Bosworth Hurt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.792,00 (€ 2.057,71) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Bosworth Hurt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Loch Lubnaig And Ben Vane im August 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.200,00 (€ 82.085,89).
