The »bidding war« ended at GBP 21,675.00 (€ 25,498.57), 45% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Bosworth Hurt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Loch Lubnaig And Ben Vane, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 55,200.00 (€ 82,085.89).

Die Arbeit A spate in Glen Sligachan, Skye von Louis Bosworth Hurt wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 21.675,00 (€ 25.498,57) und damit 45% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Bosworth Hurt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Loch Lubnaig And Ben Vane beobachtet, die im August 2006 für GBP 55.200,00 (€ 82.085,89) versteigert wurde.
