It achieved a price of GBP 14,080.00 (€ 16,315.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Louis Bosworth Hurt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Loch Lubnaig And Ben Vane in August 2006 with an auction result of GBP 55,200.00 (€ 82,085.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit 'Sunshine after Rain, Loch Etive, Glencoe' von Louis Bosworth Hurt wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion British and European Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 14.080,00 (€ 16.315,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Bosworth Hurt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Loch Lubnaig And Ben Vane im August 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.200,00 (€ 82.085,89).
