Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Coming down from the hills by Louis Bosworth Hurt. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,999.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Louis Bosworth Hurt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Loch Lubnaig And Ben Vane in August 2006 with an auction result of GBP 55,200.00 (€ 82,085.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Coming down from the hills von Louis Bosworth Hurt zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.750,00 (€ 14.999,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Bosworth Hurt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Loch Lubnaig And Ben Vane im August 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.200,00 (€ 82.085,89).
