This artwork by Louis Bosworth Hurt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in March last year. In the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction, the work After the shower - by a West Highland loch sold for GBP 41,500.00 (€ 49,202.92) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Louis Bosworth Hurt; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Loch Lubnaig And Ben Vane sold at auction in August 2006 with the realized price of GBP 55,200.00 (€ 82,085.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis Bosworth Hurt erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art wurde die Arbeit After the shower - by a West Highland loch für GBP 41.500,00 (€ 49.202,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Louis Bosworth Hurt; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Loch Lubnaig And Ben Vane im August 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 55.200,00 (€ 82.085,89).
