This artwork by Louis Auguste Girardot achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in June 2011. In the Orientalist Paintings auction, the work Terrasses À Tanger, 1887 sold for EUR 17,851.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Auguste Girardot - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French A Girl From Morocco, which sold at auction in November 2008 for GBP 52,850.00 (€ 63,899.62).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis Auguste Girardot erzielte im Juni 2011 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Orientalist Paintings wurde die Arbeit Terrasses À Tanger, 1887 für EUR 17.851,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Auguste Girardot mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French A Girl From Morocco beobachtet, die im November 2008 für GBP 52.850,00 (€ 63.899,62) versteigert wurde.
