Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Contemplation by Louis Auguste Girardot was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2005. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,449.33). Admittedly, works by Louis Auguste Girardot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French A Girl From Morocco in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 52,850.00 (€ 63,899.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Contemplation von Louis Auguste Girardot kam im Juni 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.449,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Auguste Girardot auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French A Girl From Morocco im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.850,00 (€ 63.899,62).
