Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Orientalist Sale, which included the work Jeune Fille De Profil by Louis Auguste Girardot. The price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Auguste Girardot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French A Girl From Morocco in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 52,850.00 (€ 63,899.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jeune Fille De Profil von Louis Auguste Girardot zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Auguste Girardot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French A Girl From Morocco im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.850,00 (€ 63.899,62).
