Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Artcurial in Marrakech held the auction Majorelle & his Contemporaries, which included the work Jeune Femme Au Vase - 1903 by Louis Auguste Girardot. The price achieved of MAD 106,600.00 (€ 10,077.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as MAD 100,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Auguste Girardot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French A Girl From Morocco in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 52,850.00 (€ 63,899.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Artcurial in Marrakesch die Auktion Majorelle & his Contemporaries durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jeune Femme Au Vase - 1903 von Louis Auguste Girardot zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von MAD 106.600,00 (€ 10.077,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit MAD 100.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Auguste Girardot auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French A Girl From Morocco im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.850,00 (€ 63.899,62).
