Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Louis Aston Knight could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work The Water Mill changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,498.01) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Aston Knight have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Cottage in Spring, Normandy in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 52,875.00 (€ 62,308.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis Aston Knight konnte im Juni 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit The Water Mill für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.498,01) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00.
