In October 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Cottage At Launay by Louis Aston Knight for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,271.67). This price was achieved in the auction American Art, Including the Collection of George S. Parker II from the Caxambas Foundation at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Louis Aston Knight have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Cottage in Spring, Normandy in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 52,875.00 (€ 62,308.51).
