In September this year Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Evening Hour, Normandy by Louis Aston Knight. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,560.00 (€ 2,418.75), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Aston Knight achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Cottage in Spring, Normandy in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 52,875.00 (€ 62,308.51).

Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Evening Hour, Normandy von Louis Aston Knight zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.560,00 (€ 2.418,75) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Aston Knight erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Cottage in Spring, Normandy im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.875,00 (€ 62.308,51).
