Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Diane'S Cottage by Louis Aston Knight for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,758.88). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Aston Knight achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Cottage in Spring, Normandy in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 52,875.00 (€ 62,308.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Diane'S Cottage von Louis Aston Knight für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.758,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00.
