In October 2004 Christies in New York held the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work Vaches près d'un ètang by Louis-Aimé Japy. The »bidding war« ended at USD 22,705.00 (€ 17,813.43), 26% above the upper estimate. Other works by Louis-Aimé Japy have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 43,750.00 (€ 31,899.38) in January 2011 for the work Cattle watering in an extensive lake landscape.

Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vaches près d'un ètang von Louis-Aimé Japy zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 22.705,00 (€ 17.813,43) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Louis-Aimé Japy haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 31.899,38) im Januar 2011 für die Arbeit Cattle watering in an extensive lake landscape beobachtet.
