Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cattle fording the river by Louis-Aimé Japy was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2015. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,574.81) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-Aimé Japy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cattle watering in an extensive lake landscape in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 31,899.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cattle fording the river von Louis-Aimé Japy kam im April 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.574,81) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis-Aimé Japy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cattle watering in an extensive lake landscape im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 31.899,38).
