Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2014 Koller held the auction Gemälde (West), which included the work Laubwald am Fluss mit Holzfäller. by Louis-Aimé Japy. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 2,196.00 (€ 1,820.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-Aimé Japy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cattle watering in an extensive lake landscape in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 31,899.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2014 führte Koller die Auktion Gemälde (West) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Laubwald am Fluss mit Holzfäller. von Louis-Aimé Japy zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 2.196,00 (€ 1.820,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis-Aimé Japy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cattle watering in an extensive lake landscape im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 31.899,38).
