The work A shepherd tending to his flock by a pool by Louis-Aimé Japy was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in London in April 2015. The auction ended at the price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,746.46), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-Aimé Japy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cattle watering in an extensive lake landscape in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 31,899.38).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit A shepherd tending to his flock by a pool von Louis-Aimé Japy wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.746,46) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis-Aimé Japy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cattle watering in an extensive lake landscape im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 31.899,38).
