Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Paysage d'automne by Louis-Aimé Japy for GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,304.98). This price was achieved in the auction IMPRESSIONIST, MODERN AND POST WAR ART at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-Aimé Japy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cattle watering in an extensive lake landscape in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 31,899.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Paysage d'automne von Louis-Aimé Japy für GBP 1.410,00 (€ 2.304,98) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion IMPRESSIONIST, MODERN AND POST WAR ART bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis-Aimé Japy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cattle watering in an extensive lake landscape im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 31.899,38).
