Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Leading The Sheep Across A Flowering Meadow by Louis-Aimé Japy was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Louis-Aimé Japy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cattle watering in an extensive lake landscape in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 31,899.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Leading The Sheep Across A Flowering Meadow von Louis-Aimé Japy kam im April 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis-Aimé Japy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cattle watering in an extensive lake landscape im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 31.899,38).
