This artwork by Lou Shibai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in June this year. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Two Birds sold for HKD 81,900.00 (€ 9,570.00) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lou Shibai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bird On The Rock in April this year with an auction result of HKD 126,000.00 (€ 128,670.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lou Shibai erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Two Birds für HKD 81.900,00 (€ 9.570,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lou Shibai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bird On The Rock im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 126.000,00 (€ 128.670,65).
