The work Insects and Leaves by Lou Shibai was worth HKD 252,000.00 (€ 29,446.15) to a buyer in June this year. This price was achieved in the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online at Christies in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Lou Shibai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bird On The Rock in April this year with an auction result of HKD 126,000.00 (€ 128,670.65).

Die Arbeit Insects and Leaves von Lou Shibai war einem Käufer im Juni diesen Jahres HKD 252.000,00 (€ 29.446,15) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lou Shibai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bird On The Rock im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 126.000,00 (€ 128.670,65).
