This artwork by Lou Shibai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in August this year. In the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Peach Blossoms under Moonlight sold for HKD 47,880.00 (€ 5,632.16) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lou Shibai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bird On The Rock in April this year with an auction result of HKD 126,000.00 (€ 128,670.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lou Shibai erzielte im August diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Peach Blossoms under Moonlight für HKD 47.880,00 (€ 5.632,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lou Shibai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bird On The Rock im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 126.000,00 (€ 128.670,65).
