Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Lotte Jacobi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in November 2016. In the Important European Collection auction, the work Original Photogenic' sold for EUR 6,875.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lotte Jacobi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Photogenic, c.1950s sold at auction in October this year with the realized price of USD 10,080.00 (€ 9,538.23).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Lotte Jacobi erzielte im November 2016 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important European Collection wurde die Arbeit Original Photogenic' für EUR 6.875,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lotte Jacobi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Photogenic, c.1950s im Oktober diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 9.538,23).
