Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Iraqiuntitled by Lorna Selim. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,524.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lorna Selim have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Baghdadiyat in June 2020 with an auction result of GBP 52,562.00 (€ 57,887.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Iraqiuntitled von Lorna Selim zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.524,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lorna Selim auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Baghdadiyat im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.562,00 (€ 57.887,93).
