Auction result well in line with expectations
The work House by Lorna Selim was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections auction at Bonhams in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,191.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lorna Selim achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Baghdadiyat in June 2020 with an auction result of GBP 52,562.00 (€ 57,887.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit House von Lorna Selim wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.570,00 (€ 4.191,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lorna Selim erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Baghdadiyat im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.562,00 (€ 57.887,93).
